Several members of LDA’s committee, some players and other supporters were present at the Bavaria World Darts Trophy on Saturdaynight 2nd September to give a positive boost and promote the new darts body for ladies:  The moment has come to make an inventory about possible members and number of ladies who are actually willing to join the LDA. It is necessary to do so in order to make clear how many ladies will become member. By obtaining that information LDA will know if it has enough ground and support to become an actual and formal independent body (Association).
Very soon it will be possibly to enrol e.g subscribe via this website!
Main goal of Ladies Darts Association is:
To be fully committed to promote, stimulate and approve the sport of darts nationally, internationally and worldwide for women participating in darts.
At the beginning of 2007 LDA will evaluate all response received to establish in which form and identity LDA will proceed. Until then a first start is made by forming an interim-board. LDA is still in search for an interim chairperson. Interim secretary will be Mrs. Ellen van den Berg and as interim treasurer agreement was found with Mrs. Ans Römelingh.
Mr. Ron van den Berg will take care of Public Relations, Mr. Chiel van Praag and Mr. Gerry Walters will be looking after Marketing and Mrs. Hennie Nagtegaal has joined forces as “adviser”. Topplayers and embassadors Trina Gulliver and Francis Hoenselaar will be fully involved as well. TheLadies Darts Association will be available for ladies of 16 years and older.
Of course those who sympathise (also men) are more than welcome to enrol in order to donate for this good course. A fully open bookkeeping will be kept and held so all members will know what is happening to their money. |
